Youth in Action: Cooperation with neighbouring countries of the EU

It is Action 3 of the five actions within the Youth in Action programme.
Action 3.1 Cooperation with the neighboring countries of the EU is one of the two sub-actions within Youth in the world.

# Youth Exchanges: What: an opportunity for one or more groups of young people to host or to be hosted by a group from another country in order to participate together in a joint programme of activities.
# Participants: groups of young people aged between 13 and 25 from a Programme Country, or a Neighbouring Partner Country
# Place: the exchange activity may take place in a Programme country or in a Neighbouring Partner Country
# Who can apply: non-profit organisations or associations, local and regional public bodies located in either a Programme Country or in a country in South East Europe. Projects should involve one or more partners from a Neighbouring Partner Country and at least one EU Member State.

Training and Networking Projects:
# What: Cooperation and partnerships, training measures and exchange of good practice for the development of youth organisations and civil society actors involved in youth work.
# A training- and networking project is developed in view of implementing one of the following activities: job shadowing (practical learning experience), feasibility visit, evaluation meeting, study visit, partnership-building activity, seminar, training course, networking
# Priority will be given to projects reflecting the general priorities of the programme, i.e. participation of young people, cultural diversity, European citizenship and social inclusion
# Place: the exchange activity may take place in a Programme country or in a Neighbouring Partner Country except in a Mediterranean Partner Country.
# Who can apply: non-profit organisations or associations, local and regional public bodies located in either a Programme Country or in a country in South East Europe. Projects should involve at least two partners from a Neighbouring Partner Country and at least one EU Member State.

How to apply: Different procedures have to be followed depending on the place where the Youth Exchange takes place and the applicant submitting the application. Please read the Programme Guidelines for further details.

# Participants:
# Programme Countries: 27 EU Member States, the EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and Turkey.
# Neighbouring Partner Countries:
- South East Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia.
- Eastern Europe and Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Ukraine.
- Mediterranean Partner Countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Syria, Tunisia.
# Other Partner Countries of the World: prioritising Latin America, ACP Countries, i.e. Africa, the Pacific and Caribbean countries, and Asia.
