Global Youth Summit in Costa Rica

We would like to bring to your attention an initiative to support a Culture of Peace through a dialogue on new models of peace infrastructure driven by youth. We are a consortium of youth networks and organisations: Youth Working Group of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Departments of Peace, Children of the Earth, UPeace US and United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY) and Academy for Peace Costa Rica. The 1st Global Youth
Summit in connection with Ministries and Departments of Peace will be a youth gathering on 16- 17 and 22 September 2009 in San Jose, Costa Rica. Based on the understanding that to fully have the youth dialogue be heard, we have the opportunity as youth to present the findings and recommendations for building an architecture for peace at the global Summit in a larger context. During this time the 4th Global Summit for Ministries and Departments of Peace will take place, with the direct involvement and support of the Costa Rican government.
