THE FELLOWSHIP
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is accepting application for the 20 to 25 residential fellowships.
Fellows will receive a stipend ranging from $26,000 to $85,000 and include a round trip travel, health insurances and you can be accompanied by family members. Fellows are expected to be in residence the entire US academic year, from September 2010 to May 2011.
ELIGIBILITY
* You are a citizen or permanent resident of any country
* You have outstanding capabilities and experience from a wide variety of backgrounds
* You hold a PhD (received by October 1, 2009)
* You have publications beyond your doctoral dissertation
* English proficiency
If you are still working on your degree, or submit a proposal of a partisan or advocacy nature. Your primary research cannot be in natural sciences, musical composition or dance, visual arts. You cannot focus on rewriting your thesis, editing texts, papers, documents or prepare textbooks, anthologies, translations or memoirs.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the fellowship do the following:
[1] fill out the Fellowship Application Form (download pdf file here)
— two references
— [100 words] precis of project proposal and its significance
[2] print out the form once you are done and send it in the postal services
[3] a list of publications (with titles, name of publishers, dates, include forthcoming publications, maximum 3 pages)
[4] project proposal (max. 5 single-spaced pages)
[5] bibliography for the project (max. 3 pages)
[6] Financial Information Form (download pdf file here)
[7] 2 reference letters (submitted directly to the Center by referees or mailed with application)
