UNDP Yemen is advertising a 1 month SSA contract for a consultant to develop the first phase of a National Human Rights Strategy. UNDP is working with the Government of Yemen to implement a project on enhancing national human rights capacity in Yemen, at both governmental and CSO level. This consultancy will constitute the first phase of activities to develop a Yemeni National Human Rights Strategy and will be based upon broad consultations with Yemeni citizens. The strategy will include law harmonization, human rights education curriculum development etc. The findings/recommendations from this exercise will be the basis for developing the National Human Rights Strategy for Yemen.
Applications are sought from candidates with direct experience in developing national human rights strategies or action plans or who have worked on national human rights projects and are Arabic speakers.
