Salary in the range £29,705 – £35,469 pro rata per annum, plus pro rata of £2,323 London Allowance. Job share considered.
The appointment is available from 1 January 2010 or soon after. This is a fixed-term appointment until 31 July 2012.
We are seeking to recruit a Research Officer within the Development Education Research Centre on a range of consultancy and research projects including its new DFID funded project on the Global Dimension to Initial Teacher Education.
You will be based in the Development Education Research Centre which is part of the Department of Geography, Enterprise, Mathematics and Education in the Faculty of Culture and Pedagogy.
Your duties will involve undertaking research on impact of development education in the UK and how teachers are including the global dimension within schools, monitor progress of development education and related areas around the world and prepare papers for academic conferences.
You will need a masters-level qualification in area related to the field of development education, knowledge of development education, experience in undertaking qualitative method research and preparing academic research papers.
This appointment will be subject to an enhanced CRB Disclosure.
