IOM is pleased to announce the following Workshop: “Mobilizing Diaspora Civil Society for International Development: A Capacity Building Workshop for Women Leaders of Diaspora Associations”, jointly organized with the Golda Meir International Training Center (MCTC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV), the Center for International Migration and Integration (CIMI), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
The workshop will be held in Haifa, Israel, from 15-24 November 2010 and targets migrant women leaders of diaspora organizations in Europe, North America and other host countries who are active in projects to facilitate the socio-economic development of their origin countries, as well as the integration of their peers in their destination countries.

Kindly note that the deadline to register for the above-mentioned workshop is extended until September 5th to give a chance to apply to those only returning now from their summer breaks.
To apply please provide the following:
1. A full letter of motivation including:
• A description of your diaspora organization
• Your role in the organization
• The projects and activities that you and your organization conduct in your country of origin and/or destination
• The three biggest challenges you face in this work
2. Name of the organization sponsoring your flight ticket.
3. A medical certificate indicating any chronic diseases and certifying that you are fit to attend this course.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
