EARTH VISION – Tokyo Global Environmental Film Festival- has been held annually in Tokyo since 1992 to understand our environment better through moving images. Each year, nominated films from all over the world are screened in Tokyo during the festival. Filmmakers should reside in Asia, Oceania or Polynesia (however, any nationality is eligible). Amateur films are also invited. No limits on the year of film completion.

UNICEF is providing support for the presentation of the annual Alexander Bodini Foundation children’s awards, which honour child-led organizations that have successfully and meaningfully contributed to creating a world fit for children.
The 2011 San Marino-Alexander Bodini Foundation Children’s Awards will comprise a grant of US$20,000 for each finalist. The awards will be presented at an event to be held in New York City in February 2011 in the presence of members of the Government of San Marino and of UNICEF. During the awards event, a message from the children who lead the organizations may be read or shown, and a brief audio-visual presentation highlighting the achievements of the previous year’s recipients will be shown.
The UNICEF offices from where the award recipient organizations are selected will also receive US$10,000 each from the Alexander Bodini Foundation towards the promotion of children’s participation and civic engagement.

The UNEP Sasakawa Prize recognizes laureates with a proven record of achievement, as well as the potential to make outstanding contributions to the environment consistent with UNEP’s policy and objectives. This international award is a partnership between UNEP and The Nippon Foundation.
The search is on for the most innovative, groundbreaking and sustainable grassroots environmental initiatives in emerging and developing countries!
The winner will receive $200,000 cash prize at an Award Ceremony and Reception to be held in February 2011, in Nairobi, Kenya.
