The Jennings Randolph (JR) Senior Fellowship Program provides scholars, policy analysts, policymakers, and other experts with opportunities to spend time in residence at the Institute, reflecting and writing on pressing international peace and security challenges. Senior Fellowships usually last for ten months, starting in October, but shorter-term fellowships are also available. Fellowships are open to citizens of any country.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports a range of postgraduate courses at German Universities which aim at providing academically educated young professionals from developing countries with further specialized studies.
These degree courses, which consist of one to two years of concentrated study, provide academically-trained young professionals in leading positions from developing countries with the opportunity to engage in postgraduate education and training in their particular field or profession.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS / International Conference on Human Rights in Southeast Asia [contributed with thanks by Aparna Basnyat, UNDP RC Bangkok]: will bring together members of the academia, civil society, national and international agencies and the media who work to promote greater understanding and better protection of human rights in the region. It will provide valuable space for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experience among diverse groups of participants from within and outside Southeast Asia. Australian Leadership Awards Fellowship
Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) Fellowships are part of the Australia Awards initiative which was announced by the Prime Minister in November 2009.
The ALA Fellowships program is part of a regional program that aims to develop leadership and build partnerships and linkages with developing countries.
ALA Fellowships is a highly flexible program that offers Australian organisations opportunities to provide short term study, research and professional development activities in Australia to mid-career professionals and senior officials from eligible countries.
ALA Fellowships complement the longer term ALA Scholarships providing opportunities to current and aspiring leaders who cannot leave their positions for extended periods.
ALA Fellowships are available across a broad range of fields relevant to Australia’s foreign policy agenda or development outcomes.
Applications addressing the priority areas of disability and development, economic growth, education, environment, food security, gender, governance, health, human rights, infrastructure, regional stability, rural development and water and sanitation are particularly encouraged.

The Scientific and Parallel Computing and Imaging (ICPS) group is seeking very good candidates for the following subject. Applicants shall have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related discipline. As for all PhD studies, a genuine interest and curiosity in the subject matter and excellent analytical and communication skills, orally as well as literally, are needed. Further, since the research work normally involves developing and testing analytical techniques, good programming skills are important. The University of Edinburgh and Coca-Cola will offer a number of scholarships for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the university. The scholarship will cover the full tuition fees and an annual maintenance allowance of £5,000 and will be tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
Eligibility:
The scholarships are competitive and will be awarded to citizens from Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, and the Ukraine who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate course of study and whose personal circumstances would make accepting an offer from the University of Edinburgh difficult. Canon Collins Trust will award postgraduate scholarships to study in South Africa for southern African students in 2011.
All scholarships are for postgraduate study for one academic year. Renewal of scholarships will be considered for subsequent years of study (provided that students meet reporting requirements and receive satisfactory academic reports) up to a maximum of one year for Honours, two years for Masters and three years for PhD. Canon Collins Trust scholarships are not full scholarships and the value can vary from R10,000 to R35,000 a year dependent on need, level and available funds. The only full scholarships that the Trust offers for study in South Africa are for women of rural origin under the Graça Machel scholarship scheme. enrichment in the United States for experienced professionals from
designated countries throughout the world.
Fellows are selected based on their potential for leadership and their
commitment to public service in either the public or private sector.
Each year approximately 200 Fellows funded by the Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State engage in
non-degree study and related professional experiences at selected American
Universities.
Started in 1978, the program now has a network of over 4,000 alumni in
157 countries around the world working to improve their communities and
the lives of those in need.
Fellows are placed at one of eighteen American universities chosen for
excellence in relevant Humphrey fields and for the resources and support
they offer Humphrey Fellows. The host campus selection process is open
