We are writing to ask for your assistance in sharing information about GYC’s International Human Rights Delegation and Training program in Rwanda, which will take place between December 28, 2010 and January 16, 2011. We are seeking young leaders (ages 18-35) to participate.

AfriGrowth Foundation employs mentoring as a capacity building tool for Youths, it is in line with this that we are organizing a one-day Seminar on: ‘‘The Role of Nigerian Youths in Sustained Democracy and Good Governance’’.
The Seminar is scheduled to hold on 20th November 2010, in Abuja.
The objectives of the workshop are as follows:
· To make Youths become tools of positive change in the democratic process.
· To raise Youths awareness on their role and impact as democratic leaders within Society.
· To empower Youths into promoting good governance, democracy, integrity and transparency in our Society.

On International Youth Day (August 12th) at the World Youth Congress in Turkey, TakingITGlobal announced the launch of the Pearson Fellowship for Social Innovation, an international fellowship program that supports the most promising social service projects created by TakingITGlobal’s network of youth leaders. As activists leading action projects, you are eligible for online training and financial support!
This October, all Sprout alumni will be eligible to apply to be considered to win one of two $5,000 International Fellowships or one of 10 Regional Fellowships of $1,000. Pearson fellows will receive one-on-one mentoring from experienced social innovators who will consult with them as they implement their project plans. Read more…

IOM is pleased to announce the following Workshop: “Mobilizing Diaspora Civil Society for International Development: A Capacity Building Workshop for Women Leaders of Diaspora Associations”, jointly organized with the Golda Meir International Training Center (MCTC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV), the Center for International Migration and Integration (CIMI), and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
The workshop will be held in Haifa, Israel, from 15-24 November 2010 and targets migrant women leaders of diaspora organizations in Europe, North America and other host countries who are active in projects to facilitate the socio-economic development of their origin countries, as well as the integration of their peers in their destination countries. e-GLO [The Earth Charter Global Learning Opportunity], a semester-long,
online leadership course inspired by the Earth Charter will take place
again! It is offered to 30 young activists, aged 15 – 33, who are motivated
community development project planners.
e-GLO aims to make a positive impact on society by familiarizing local level
youth activists with sustainability leadership skills and shared ethics
through the use of new technologies that foster interaction, inclusive
culture and the wide distribution of global youth perspective. The ultimate
goal is to further develop the capabilities necessary to conduct Earth

EarthCorps offers a 6-month service learning program in Seattle, Washington, USA that brings together emerging environmental leaders to learn the fundamentals of: Environmental Service, Community Building and Leadership. EARTHCORPS CHARGES NO TUITION OR FEES for its services and in fact supplies insurance, individual homestay families, food, gear and a monthly stipend to all international participants. EarthCorps provides additional support in acquiring US J-1 Trainee visas. EarthCorps has established the following minimum criteria to be considered for the program: 18-25 years of age, Conversational English and No Criminal Record.
