Call for Contributions
CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS / International Conference on Human Rights in Southeast Asia [contributed with thanks by Aparna Basnyat, UNDP RC Bangkok]: will bring together members of the academia, civil society, national and international agencies and the media who work to promote greater understanding and better protection of human rights in the region. It will provide valuable space for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experience among diverse groups of participants from within and outside Southeast Asia. If you are interested in presenting a paper on one of the identified themes for the conference which include: Universality and particularity of human rights; Individual and collective rights; Gender, sexuality and women’s rights; Rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups; Peace, conflict, security and human rights; Challenges to human rights in Southeast Asia; and, Media, advocacy and popularization of human rights, please submit an abstract by 30 June 2010.
