UNRISD is now accepting applications for an internship position based within the Publications and Dissemination Unit, working full time with the Web and Media Consultants. The Intern will:
- Assist with the day-to-day updating and maintenance of the UNRISD website in English, French and Spanish, and assist other staff with their contribution of content to the site; and
- Assist in strengthening the Institute’s global research communication strategy by supporting media outreach (national, regional and international media; specialist media; and United Nations–specific internal and external media).
It is estimated that half of the Intern’s time will be spent on the website, and half on media outreach.
Part I: UNRISD website
1. Assist with monitoring, updating and maintaining CMS databases.
2. Review and troubleshoot content contributed by UNRISD staff via the CMS for online posting. Edit and proofread this content prior to web publishing to ensure conformity with UNRISD House Style.
3. Liaise and work with UNRISD staff in order to ensure publicity of their ongoing work and new initiatives on the website.
4. Respond to users’ queries.
